Roll these all with each other and there is only one result….a Mercedes-Benz 814 with an L Cab Twin sleeper. I believe the variety was known as the LN2′ 1st launched in 1984. This little machine was after the king of the 7.5 tonners and a lot of of us could only dream of driving such a truck but just as many of you had been lucky enough to drive 1. I remember being aged 17 and parked at McDonalds in Braintree, whilst all my mates had been checking out their new stereos and who had the greatest pair of 6×9’s, so I wandered across the vehicle park to talk to the driver of an 814 (may possibly have been an 817).
