Report: Late Dinner Triggered Clarkson to Punch Producer

cbb06 Clarksong SYN PLACEMENT3

The much more we discover about Jeremy Clarkson’s most recent drama, the uglier it gets. Following the BBC hastily suspended the host and canceled the broadcast of this season’s remaining episodes, British tabloid The Mirror reports that the entire point erupted when Clarkson got angry over his dinner not being served on time.

We’re taking this with a grain of salt, as the claims haven’t been confirmed elsewhere and The Mirror hasn’t got the most spotless record, but the allegations are not totally surprising: The report holds that Clarkson was suspended following throwing a punch at Prime Gear producer Oisin Tymon, 36, for not having his meal ready at the finish of a shoot.

“It was all over a catering concern,” the unnamed insider told The Mirror. “They came to the finish of filming right after a long day and Jeremy found that no food had been laid on. He just saw red and hit the assistant producer, who he blamed for not having organized the food. He snapped.”

The Mirror goes on to say that Clarkson, along with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May, were just days away from finalizing new 3-year contracts for Prime Gear. The tabloid reports that all negotiations have been suspended, and “insiders speculated over regardless of whether the series could continue without [Clarkson] if he is sacked.”

Even though fans may possibly reel at the believed of Clarkson being fired, it is a distinct possibility provided the host’s recent track record. The year 2014 located Clarkson at the center of 3 separate uproars more than the use of alleged racist remarks on-camera, just the most current in a extended, lengthy timeline of Clarkson stomping willfully into self-constructed controversy.

In apologizing for his most current flub, Clarkson went so far as to say publicly that one particular a lot more error would leave him jobless. He also wrote in a newspaper column, “I’ve been told by BBC chiefs that I’m drinking at the final likelihood saloon,” and recently tweeted what now looks like a prescient omen.

Clarkson’s coworkers do not look to be shedding a lot of tears more than his suspension, either:

As of now, the BBC says the final 3 episodes of the current Top Gear season will not air, as today’s scheduled filming of the reside segments for Sunday’s episode won’t go on with out Clarkson.

Oregon Crashed Triggered by Man Holding Breath in Tunnel

A 19-year-old man triggered a 3-car crash when he fainted even though holding his breath as he drove by way of a tunnel northwest of Portland, Oregon State Police mentioned.

Daniel J. Calhon, of Snohomish, Washington, told investigators he fainted Sunday afternoon even though holding his breath in the Highway 26 tunnel near the neighborhood of Manning, according to a news release. His car, a 1990 Toyota Camry, drifted across the centerline and crashed head-on with a Ford Explorer.

Each vehicles struck the tunnel walls just before a pickup hit the Camry.

Calhon and his passenger, 19-year-old Bradley Meyring, of Edmonds, Washington, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did the 2 individuals in the Explorer: Thomas Hatch Jr., 67, and Candace Hatch, 61, from Astoria. All 4 have been taken to hospitals.

The 2 people in the pickup had been not hurt.

Calhon was cited for reckless driving, 3 counts of reckless endangerment and 4th-degree assault in Washington County Circuit Court. It was not clear if he had a lawyer.

State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings mentioned Monday he’s not positive why Calhon was holding his breath, but some men and women hold their breaths in tunnels as element of a game or superstition.

The tunnel, referred to as the Dennis L. Edwards Tunnel, was completed in 1940 and carries the highway through the Northern Oregon Coast Range mountains. It is 772 feet long, meaning that a car traveling at the posted speed limit of 55 mph would get through it in about 10 seconds.
