Yes we may have been a tiny bit sun blinded by the great climate, and the event may not have gone 25% smoothly, but there’s no taking something away from these 3 things about this occasion!
Number 1: The awesome place. Actually in the shadow of the Olympic arena’s, and across the road from an great purchasing centre (with some nice bars and perhaps far more importantly a killer milkshake stand)
Number 2: The track itself. It was ridiculous. An really narrow uphill curved run up, cresting with a jump and entirely blind entry into a track that begins with a huge wall, then combines 6 outdoors clipping zones and some of the most significant bumps on the planet.. It was Actually difficult!
Quantity 3: The great drivers, and the even far more great cars!. There seemed to be a comparable energy struggle to Formula D going on, with twin turbo’d LS engined BMWs and BMW powered Nissans alongside the slightly far more typical, but nonetheless extremely potent 2JZ powered automobiles.
By the end of the occasion there have been more than a handful of automobiles not very in complete functioning order, and our personal DW86 was amongst them.
We’d struggled with the ride height and hitting the floor via 90% of the course, so the unthinkable was accomplished, and we raised it up! This improved the handling, and I was finally beginning to push somewhere towards the right line I’d been missing for complete rest of the day, when the rear axle decided it didn’t want to be a part of the car any a lot more.

Following some spectacular runs, mechanical failures and fires, the competitors ended a little abruptly, as the turbo’d LS BMW E46 discarded it is pistons all over the track as it crossed the line in it’s final run of the top 4 so the final couldn’t happen, and the guy that was supposed to be running for 3rd against Dan Chapman had also crashed his automobile as well seriously to recover. I’ve never ever seen something like that come about in competition, but this is following all motorsport, and as we know quite much something can happen.
