Dreams truly can come accurate. That is the message we get from ever-intriguing tuner Mansory, which took a break from modding Rolls-Royces, Mercedes-Benzes, and Lotuses to apply its signature outlandish artistic touch to a golf cart. The outfit then putted that cart (which actually is not new, but it is new to us) to the 2015 Geneva auto show where it right away won us more than with its chutzpah. Is it absurd? Totally. Do we want a single? Guess.
With its acres of carbon fiber and chrome, this is no ordinary golf cart. It is primarily based on a Garia luxury golf cart—yep, that’s a thing—and its Mansory transformation earns it the new name “Garia Mansory Currus.” We take that to imply it’s sort of like a misspelled Chrysler Cirrus, only it lacks a roof, engine, and a whiff of tragedy.
The seats are quilted like the greatest chairs from Crewe, the cup holders and the pair of golf-bag holders on the rear deck are rendered in carbon fiber (lightweight, bro!), the dashboard is covered in padded leather, and it rides on sweet, black-painted 12-inch rims. And that is just the functional stuff don’t miss the carbon-fiber vents on the cart’s “hood.” Never ever mind that what ever powers this point is situated underneath the seats—it wouldn’t be a Mansory without having a handful of pseudo intakes feeding air to nothing at all.
Mansory didn’t just concentrate on looks, however—it also fitted a vaguely described speed package of some sort that juices the electric cart to enable velocities of up to 37 mph and runtime of up to an hour. Now we’re cooking with gas, er, electrons! As Mansory and its golf-cart companion Garia put it, the Currus is “the ultimate street-legal toy that just happens to be exceptional for golf as well.”
Among the first issues we asked Mansory’s folks soon after we stumbled across this gem was how considerably it expense. We have been told pricing isn’t obtainable, but that’s almost certainly because only 6 were slated to be constructed (and likely all have been spoken for). We’re assuming every single 1 is head-detonatingly pricey. If this roadster version is not your style, Mansory already supplied a hardtop version, you know, for those days where you’re not feeling a round of golf, but you do want to arrive like a baller in a superexpensive golf cart.
Mansory’s Chromed and Carbon-Fibered Golf Cart Is Magical
