2014 SLP Panther Camaro: Hates Speed Bumps
May possibly 26, 2014
Just based on my introductory animal sciences courses, I’;d have guessed that the major predators for a panther would be, in no order: Man, deforestation and extremely huge snakes.
Turns out, nonetheless, that the natural enemy of the Panther Camaro is the speed bump.
As opposed to earlier Chevys from the final couple of decades, the issue is not clearance. The SLP Panther tends to make it over the speed bumps just fine. No scraping. The issue isn’;t even the initial hit. That gets soaked up very effectively. The dilemma is with the rebound. Not positive what it is about speed bumps (and particular speed-bump-sized road imperfections that are prevalent around L.A.), but as soon as the wheel is carried out going up, it feels like it just freefalls down. KERTHUD! I’;ve in fact changed my route house to keep away from particular bespeedbumped neighborhoods.
Compared to how well the SLP Panther rides, this is odd. But it is a small tradeoff for a auto this capable, controllable and entertaining.
