2 suspects aged between 37 and 39 years will appear in the Randburg magistrates’ court facing the charges of being in possession of car breaking implements.
On Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at approximately 07h05, the police received a tip off about the suspects waiting to strike any unsuspecting motorist who locked their vehicles using remote controls without testing their doors before leaving for their daily activities at Ferndale, Randburg CBD.
The police acted immediately on the tip off and arrested 2 suspects who were found in possession of gate remote controls, a jamming machine plugged into the cigarette lighter, different number plates and other equipment. Investigations continue to determine if the suspects are connected to other crimes around the area.
