This week’s episode of Comedians in Vehicles Receiving Coffee features some excellent stars: A 1956 Corvette not too long ago rescued from the abandoned Peter Max collection, a 1994 Land Rover Defender 90, and a 13-foot Boston Whaler boat. Oh, and a couple of guys named Fallon and Seinfeld.
The automotive star of this installment is that Vette, a Cascade Green ’56 that spent the previous 26 years in a parking garage with 35 other Vettes as element of a failed Peter Max art project. Hemmings reports that the Vette underwent a hasty revamp to roadworthiness in preparation for the shoot, including swapping in a replacement tiny-block V-8 when a crack was discovered in the original engine block.
Soon after some really last-minute repairs, the Vette was created trus2rthy enough to endeavor filming. Nicely, virtually reliable enough—you’ll see what I imply. The 2-component episode is wonderful, and not just for the cars. Go ahead and watch the whole point right here.
